Spring has sprung!

Yikes, looking at the date I've noticed that I have not updated this in well over a month. With spring comes spring cleaning, and Jayden growing like a weed as well.

I have a bunch of videos I can upload but right now I'll just do some photos.

Well I can say everyone is right when they said he would grow fast and to enjoy it, because it's true. I can't believe in two short weeks Jayden is going to be 6 months old. 6 MONTHS OLD, where has it gone? He's into 6-9 month clothes, he's grabbing EVERYTHING, he's starting to sit on his own, he scoots to the point I think crawling isn't far behind. There's really so many things he can do now that I've lost count :)
This is honestly the best experience in the world by watching my little miracle grow by leaps and bounds, while learning to do things and experience life. I still sit back and wish I had more time to spend with him, as it seems my weekends and evenings after work speed by light a freight train. I'm hoping in due time I can figure something out to make that happen.

Here's a few pictures of my first little photoshoot I did with Jayden sense getting my camera, and some studio equiptment. I didn't think I did to bad my first try, and this was even without my lighting.

Then here's just some randoms. (around the 4 month mark)

The letters I painted for Jayden's room.

Jayden's pediatrician said this was the perfect picture of a 4 month old. :)

This is when Jayden has had enough of mommy's camera.

We took a 4th generation picture when Jayden was 4 months and it was published in the paper just recently. Jayden wasn't in the most best of moods that day cause it was close to his nap time, but we managed to get a picture.

Let's see.... Now easter was probley the most recent big thing sense I've posted, so that will lead me to his easter picture. I tried to get a better picture of this seeing how I did a tad bit of a hand chop here, but I still kept coming back to this picture because I love his facial expression. My lil easter bunny.

Now because I'm having to fix these pictures every single time I post, I'm running out of steam here. So tomorrow I'll try to update with some more recent pictures.

The laughing begins

I finally got a good laugh out of Jayden this past weekend, but of course as always when I grabbed that camera he stopped. I ended up running to the store last night and Jay had the baby and when I came back, this is what he was doing. I was lucky to catch him on the video camera which is why again this is very icky quality as it was recorded from the tv while we watched it.

Someday I'll get better and just grab my digital or use my video camera uploader.

Jayden's hands are interesting.

My Nana Barlow recently watched Jayden for a week while she was on vacation and one of the day's my grandpa came down to visit he captured this little video clip. Jayden is in his favorite jumper which is still to big for him, but he loves it and while playing he happens to suddenly find interest in his hands. This cracks us up as he was so into moving his fingers and that he controlled these little limbs.

Jayden noticed he has hands and feet a few weeks back and this day they were very entertaining. HA HA!

Oh boy, Mommy got a new camera!

Yes, because mommy is trying to venture into the photography business FINALLY, I purchased a new camera and guess who my lucky victim was?

Because Jayden is such a good poser, and so much fun to take pictures of, I'm sure I'll have no issues keeping you all updated. It will take a lot of practice to understand this camera and I hope to only get better. But for now, here's a few shots from the last few days. I believe I have taken 70 pictures already and I just got this camera Friday. HA HA.

This first shot shows what he's been notorious for lately.... DROOL!

I'm going to get these feet.

He just had to close his eyes in this one, JEEZ.

Picture update.

Just figured I would drop off some more pictures that I haven't posted yet. And a video clip too. (video is temp disabled so I will be back to post it later)

I believe Jayden found his feet recently, but didn't really pay attention to them only in the bath. Now he's trying to grab at them when laying down and it's to funny to watch the concentration he has while doing it. He also acts like he wants to eat them, like everything else he get's ahold of.

He was actually talking to me here, even though I know he looks really mad.

He is such a drool puss lately that he leaves his shirts SOAKED if we don't put a bib on him all the time. Here's some of his famous bubbles.

His gym which he is starting to enjoy more as he can now bat at the hanging toys.

He's a blabber just like his Mommy

Sorry about the horrible quality but of course we catch JD talking away with the video camera instead of my digital, and because I didn't have time to get the video off the camcorder with the desktop computer, I just recorded from the TV. He looks like he's pouting while talking and I don't know why, but we were in hysterics. Enjoy!

I love bath time!

Jayden loves his baths. I don't think there's been to many times he hasn't been happy in there. I also included a little video clip of one of his baths as well. He's a big splasher and kicker.

Welcome to Jayden world!

Welcome to our way of keeping in touch, sharing pictures, some videos, and just plain Jayden world.

Jayden Dyer was born November 11th 2008 at 7:45pm via c-section. I was sent in Monday morning the 10th at 7am to start the induction process as I was having some scares with high blood pressure. The induction meds were started at 9am and by noon I was in labor. Of course I had back labor which was the most pain I have ever felt. Jason was great throughout the entire thing trying to help make me more comfortable by using some tricks the nurses were teaching him, and I had my mom there for support as well. I will not go into the entire story as it is very long, but being in labor from Monday till Tuesday evening was not fun. An entire 32 hours later, not dialating fast enough, Jayden not being a good boy and dropping as he should have, and me being totally exhausted resulted in a c-section. I was a little upset that I felt as though I was a failure because I couldn't have a normal birth, but as my doctors advised me in the operating room, was even if they let me go a little longer and I got to push, I probley wouldn't have gotten him out as he was in an awkward position.

At 7:45pm our little miracle was born. He was 7lbs 9.8oz's and 21 inches long and did have hair (till now). My doctors assumed he would be bigger as mommy was a house, but we proved that wrong. Of course now a days he's living up to being a big boy as recently at his 2 month appt. he was 12lbs 7oz's and 24 inches long; at 85th percentile for his weight and 90th percentile for his height.

Jayden's name came from wayyyyyy back in the day when (as dumb as this is), Will & Jada Smith had there little boy and named him this. I instantly fell in love with this name. There were time's I almost didn't use it due to it's popularity, but once we knew he was a He. This was the only name I felt best about. We decided to spell it with the Y because it was similar to daddy's short name. Daddy and Jayden also share the same initials, but instead of being called Jay for short, you will hear me call him JD. I think JD HUGHES is going to be a important name one day :)

I can't say the past few months have been easy cause that would be a lie. I can say I love this little guy with all my heart, and can't imagine him not with us. He was quite the fussy baby to begin with, to the point I was wondering if he was colicky. Our pedi even advised us he might be slightly colicky, but after I reviewed some videos of full blown colicky babies, I realized how BLESSED I really was. Jayden certainly wasn't that bad, but definitely wasn't an easy baby to deal with all the time. We switched formulas a few times, and it came down to Soy which is what he is on now due to him possibly being alergic to milk or just having a reflux issue. Don't get me wrong, this boy can eat and his weight prooves that and always has, he was never a spit up baby. But he was a fussy, VERY gassy baby which made him arch his back like you wouldn't believe after feedings. It broke our heart to see him this way. Now that he is on the Soy he is a better. He still isn't that perfectly calm baby you always see wide awake while mommy & daddy shop or eat dinner at a nice restaurant (ha ha), but he doesn't scream or arch his back anymore. Sure he has his fussy times, but it's getting better either with time or with the Soy.

Ok enough of my blabbing for today, let's now gt to some pictures of our beautiful little boy. From the time he was born we knew he was his daddys child. Everyone has made it well known that he looks like daddy, but I know he has mommy in there somewhere.

Without further adieu, here's my man JD! And some pictures of his first two months.
